Missing Child Presumed Dead, Arrest Made in Franklin County Deaths

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, authorities have arrested a suspect in connection to a triple homicide that happened at 3197 Georgia Road near Ottawa. The suspect is currently being held in custody in Franklin County awaiting formal charges.

Meanwhile, authorities say Lana-Leigh Bailey, the missing 18-month old girl connected to the victims, is presumed dead. Franklin County Sheriff Jeff Richards:

One of the homicide victims, identified by the KBI as Kaylie Bailey,  is the mother of the missing toddler Lana, both of them last seen on May 1 in Olathe, Kansas, on their way to rural Franklin County.

The two other homicide victims found on the rural Franklin County property are identified as 30-year-old Andrew Stout and 31-year-old Steven White.

"The investigation into this horrific crime continues," said Sheriff Richards in a released statement. "During the course of this investigation, law enforcement officers assigned to the M-Squad activation have worked around the clock to follow up as many leads as possible in the pursuit for those responsible for this crime. Our work has not stopped with this arrest, but has intensified."

"We are still looking for 18-month-old Lana Bailey and will continue to do so until she is found," said Sheriff Richards. "Information developed overnight indicates that Lana is presumed to be a victim of homicide. Finding Lana is a top priority for our investigators. We will exhaust every lead and follow up every tip until we bring her home."

Authorities say the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children will assist in the investigation and as of Thursday morning has joined the effort to find Lana. FBI agents are also offering assistance with the investigation.
