She died May 5, 2013 at her home.
She was born January 5, 1923 in Kansas City, MO the daughter of Edgar and Eva (Scott) Watkins.
She worked for many years for the Presbyterian Church in New York, NY and later at the Council of Churches in Oklahoma City, OK.
She was a was longtime member of First Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City and actively participated in Presbyterian Women, both in her church and in Indian Nations Presbytery. She also traveled to China a representative of the church.
Her loving husband Hosea Irving died in 1996 after a lengthy illness; during which she cared for him.
She is survived by two nieces, Sonja (Clarence) Johnson; Barbara (Joseph) Sabol and a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Franklin L. Watkins and Arthur V. Watkins.
In keeping with her generous spirit and commitment to this organization, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Presbyterian Women, Indian Nations Presbytery and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
