As of Thursday morning, 8am, the City of Lawrence sidewalk snow ordinance is in effect. City staff is reminding property owners that all sidewalks located on public right-of-way immediately adjacent to their property, including those sidewalks located at the rear of the property lines, are subject to the provisions of the ordinance.
Residents can submit complaints or non-compliance issues starting Thursday, January 4, at 8am, following Monday's snowfall that prompted the ordinance clock to start, giving property owners 48 hours to clear the appropriate sidewalks. Complaints can be filed via the
city's online code enforcement reporting system, or by calling 785-832-7700.
