A second convenience store robbery on the east side of Lawrence last night has police searching for a white male with facial hair. Lawrence Police Dept. Sgt. Damon Thomas said the robbery took place at about 10 minutes to midnight Monday at the Kwik Shop, 1611 E. 23rd St.
The man entered the store and demanded cash from the register. Police say they did not believe the man displayed a weapon.
Police also continue their investigation into a robbery of the Zarco 66 at 1500 E. 23rd St. Sunday evening. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline at 785-843-TIPS.
