Traffic Update for Lawrence Drivers

A traffic reminder for Lawrence, as drivers get back into a post-Thanksgiving routine on the roads. The Kansas Department of Transportation says traffic on K-10/23rd Street from Haskell Avenue to Barker Avenue has opened up to two lanes in both eastbound and westbound directions, while crews now work on the north shoo-fly detour. KDOT says this lane configuration will remain in place throughout the upcoming winter months.

Crews also continue to remove existing shoo-fly detours and complete work on the frontage roads on either side of the new bridge. Project work on the frontage roads is expected to be complete by mid-summer 2013, weather permitting.
