Fraud scheme at Topeka banks totals $400,000



Prosecutors say the three used various business names and would deposit insufficient fund checks and made electronic payments using fake account numbers. 26 year old Amanda Baloch of Topeka pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud, and was ordered to pay about 56-thousand dollars in restitution. 31 year old Maqsood Baloch of Topeka also pleaded guilty- he’ll be sentenced in February. The third defendant-a 30 year old Junaid Iqbal of Pakistan was ordered to pay 40-thousand dollars in restitution, and he’s being deported back to Pakistan.
