Where there was smoke, there was fire in a Lawrence mobile home park....

The blaze broke out shortly before midday yesterday at the Brookwood Mobile Home park on East 19th Street. Gray smoke billowed from the windows of one single-wide unit at the park. That mobile home reported heavily damaged by the fire. First responders were able to bring the fire under control and keep it from spreading to a number of nearby units in the park. Investigators are looking into what caused the blaze. Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical crews say no one was injured. The fire was declared under control by 11 o'clock.
