A Kansas City man admits he was part of a crime spree in Lawrence. 

20 year old Michael A Howard could be facing more than ten years in prison. As part of a plea deal he admits he pulled a gun and robbed a K-U student in an alley last December. Prosecutors also accuse him of robbing a female student and punching her in the face, leaving her with a concussion and facial fractures. Reportedly, if Howard helps out in a case against a co-defendant, he may get as much as two years taken off his sentence. He will most likely have to pay out about a thousand dollars to each victim as restitution, and then he’ll have to register as a violent offender. His defense attorney claims Howard’s been diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic. He’ll get sentenced in February.
