A former Holton High school business teacher convicted of having an affair with a student heads to jail.

37 year old Tad Hernandez is going to jail for sixty days and gets 66 months of probation after that. He was arrested last March…the married father of three, charged with having a relationship with a 15 year old student. In August, he went for a plea deal…the charges he formally faced were lewd and lascivious behavior and indecent solicitation of a child — both felonies. The mother of the girl involved says Hernandez had exchanged over 33-hundred text messages with her daughter inside of one month. He's going to have to register as a sex offender for the next 25 years.
