With the anniversary of 9-11 fresh on everyone’s mind, the memorial foundation is going to announce its choice—either Emporia or Kansas City, Kansas is going to be the new home to the memorial...we’ll find out which at a news conference being held steps of the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka. Representatives from the foundation and both cities are expected to be on hand for the announcement. The memorial is going to be honoring all troops who have given their lives in the Gulf War, Operations Desert Storm, Operation Desert Shield, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and all other operations in the war on terror. The foundation has been raising money through several campaigns, like IGaveMyCoins.com, and fallenloveart.com—where you can inscribe a tile with your own personalized artwork and message to be displayed at the memorial.
