Highway 10 may become more of a bear than a road next week.
The Kansas Department of Transportation is warning there could be big delays on Kansas Highway 10 east of Lawrence starting Monday. Crews are going to be repaving the road and adding rumble strips. The project is scheduled to be wrapped up on November fourth, but until then, crews are going to be shutting down some lanes, and you may even get flagged to drive on the shoulder. The company behind the project is promising crews won’t work during morning and evening rush hours and Kansas University game days. But even then—KDOT says it’s such a busy road, you may hit delays even in the off hours.
