Closing arguments today in the trial of James Kraig Kahler- the Kansas man accused of killing four family members. KLWN’s Jill Nado has more.

Testimony wrapped up yesterday…prosecutors cross examining a psychiatrist, who said he thought even though Kahler’s judgement was compromised at the time, he was capable of planning the killings of his wife, two daughters and his wife’s grandmother. Jurors also heard testimony from a friend of Kahler’s, who had known him since the two were in college. Victor Holtorf testified that Kahler had always been a level headed guy and the shootings were unfathomable. But he also said he noticed a strain in the relationship between Kahler and his estranged wife. Once the defense and prosecution wrap up their statements, the case goes to the jury.
