Truck Rules

A break in state rules to help get food to livestock, and why it means you may see more really big trucks on the road. KLWN’s Jill Nado explains.

The drought hitting Kansas has been tough on some farmers trying to get food to their animals, so the Governor has issued a break in rules for truckers hauling hay. Usually the state requires over sized trucks to get special permits to travel at night…now the big rigs can go when they want to, if they have clearance lights or escort vehicles are used. The order is in effect until the drought is over.
