Touch A Truck
Robby Giffin is one of the organizers of the 3rd Annual Touch A Truck at Lawrence First Church of the Nazarene. He tells us what was most popular last year and back for this year in the way of dozens of very different kinds of vehicles for kids to get up close to. Also details on the car show, and an appearance from Slugerrr! The only admission they ask is a donation of a toiletry item, as they collect necessities once again for the Lawrence Community Shelter.

Douglas County Extension Update
Horticulture Agent Marlin Bates came by from K-State Research & Extension Douglas County to talk seasonal crop switches, cover crops, and local wineries.

Also, he was telling me that training is set to begin for the next group of Master Gardeners next week--you still have time to get in! You're going to get your hands dirty--sounds pretty intensive and educational.
